Over the years I've collected some incredible antique bottle website links.
One of my favorite sites is Antique Bottle Collectors Haven. Reggie does a great job keeping this website up-to-date and it has an incredible amount of information for both the novice or the experienced bottle collector alike. You can also sign up to have his well-known Antique Bottle Show Event Calendar sent directly to your email.
Whether experienced or inexperienced to bottles, collecting, dating, and so much more the Society of Historic Archeaology, Inc. (ISHA) has one of the if not "the most" in-depth informative site on bottle identification. Grab you favorite drink because you'll be astounded to see and read the gobs of information you'll find.
Recently I was given a link by an up-and-coming young bottle collector in California. A good resource guide, especially for those starting out in the bottle collecting hobby...check out: Oberk.com's Antique Bottle Collector Resource Guide

Excellent Book
From time-to-time an opportunity presents itself that you just can't ignore.
Early in 2011, Good Ole' Bottles was contacted by Capt. Dan Berg and contracted to clean several large whiskey bottles that had been recovered from the shipwreck - "Lizzy 'D'". She was a prohibition rum runner that sank in 1922.
The bottles were recovered by Capt. Dan Berg and his 'Aqua Explorers' team of skin divers. It was a pleasure cleaning these three bottles not only because of their history but also because Capt. Dan intended to use them to build replicas of the Lizzy 'D' herself inside the bottles!
In the months that followed, Capt. Dan sent other bottles to be cleaned including one blob top that had a 2 to 3- inch clam shell inside and still intact! The clam itself was long gone, but it's shell remained inside the bottle - preserved - until decades later the bottle was recovered.
Capt. Dan has written a variety of books from metal detecting shorelines to building boats inside bottles. His newest release shown in the right-side margin - Hunting Antique Bottles in the Marine Environment. This is a complete field guide with information on identifiying, dating, and cleaning bottles recovered from water.
For more information on Capt. Dan's explorations and other availaible books, check out the Aqua Explorers website (http://www.aquaexplorers.com).
